Whose involved

Michael Zoetmulder
	One of the highest qualified lifesavers in the world, with numerous awards and certification from South Africa, America and Australia. At the height of his lifesaving career, Michael was the South African Lifesaver of the Year in 1990 and the South African Lifesaving Instructor of the year in 1992.
Michael, the 1992 South African surf ski winner and 1990 Iron Man bronze medalist, has represented South Africa in lifesaving and the Eastern Province in surf lifesaving, freshwater lifesaving and canoeing. He was also selected for an Australian state team whilst living and training in Sydney in the early 90's. A certified World Life Saving International Training officer and a Level 2 National accrediated Coach (Australian Coaching Council), Michael brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the development and coaching side of the company. Prior to departing for overseas in 1997, Michael was the Managing Director of SportsPALS, a watersports company which developed and hosted several international watersports events including Surf Ski, Iron Man and ocean water swimming events. SportsPALS brought international stars like America's Greg Barton (Olympic canoeist), Australia's Dean Gardiner (World ski champion), and Dean Mercer (Iron Man) so that local legend's like the Chalupsky brothers could contest a winners purse of R10,000 on home soil.

Peter Mote

Founder of Red7, a leading local manufacturer of paddling equipment, Peter Mote is one of the world’s top water sportsmen.

Peter has represented South Africa at lifesaving for over 10 years, his last two years as captain and coach of the Tri-Nations team.

Peter is a very experienced Surf Ski paddler, having paddled 5 Port Elizabeth to East London races and 4 Scottborough to Brighton events. In the past year, Peter has won all of the major long distance Surf Ski events with partner Alan Schuddinh.

Having travelled to Australia on numerous international competitions, Peter has witnessed the effect which sports has on local communities and how sport strengthens character and contributes to mental and physical well being. This experience will be injected into the company and will be a major boost to our development programs as well as our elite training programs.
